Associate Director
Born Louise Cheryl (Lowe) Moore and called Cheryl by most. Originally from Cambridge, MA, she is the elder of two children of the late Samuel B. Lowe, Jr. and Lillian Dorothy (Hamilton) Lowe. She and her husband Kenneth – affectionately called Boonie – moved to Malden in 2004, where they lived for 10 years until his death.
The mother of two children herself: son Kayar [pronounced KR], and daughter Kendra; and grandmother of five: grandson Kalil Seven, and granddaughters Kiyanna Noelle, Kaylee Rose, Kaeja Louise, and Kenzie Sky.
Cheryl worked as a Project Coordinator for 23 years for AT&T and took an early retirement package at age 47! She then went on to work for Siemens, NextGNetworks and then to American Tower involved in installation projects for 4G technology for both MetroPCS and T-Mobile, over the next 10 years.
She moved to Lynn, after the death of her husband/best friend of 40 years. She came to Zion in April 2016 and was Baptized in June! She says, that God was calling her, and that church called to her. She's been an active, proactive and reactive member ever since! She is the Church Clerk, the Recovery/Reentry Ministry Assistant, the Good Morning Zion Director, the WOW (Working on Wellness) Ministry, the church Website Administrator, an Adult Bible Study Team Leader, she sings in the Adult Choir, leads the Women’s Ministry, sits on the pulpit and preaches on occasion, and she is always willing to pitch in wherever help is needed. Several of the Ministries listed were started or renewed by Minister Moore. Her work with the Women’s Ministry at Zion has been phenomenal and has created a sisterhood amongst the women members that has not waivered.
Min. Moore also serves on the Judson Executive Board since 2018 when she became a Member-At-Large, and also as the Judson Clerk. She has been a part of the Planning Committee each year since joining.
Outside of church, Minister Moore is all about her family. She homeschooled her granddaughter Kaeja from the age of 3 (and through the pandemic) and help her to be at the top of her 3rd grade class. She worked two summers for Treehouse Music (a Judson grantee) where she taught and graduated a total of 34 students, beginner piano.
As her call grew, she enrolled in the TABCOM School of Ministry. There, her gift of administration really blossomed as she created a platform for her entire class to have preaching opportunities throughout the year, and to be critiqued by Pastors and Laypeople as part of the Year of Communication curriculum. Because of these efforts, one church was able to find a settled Pastor from the SoM. She graduated the SoM in November 2021.
She takes pride in being not only good listener but a great friend to all, and she is living her "new life" trying to be a faithful follower of Jesus Christ.
Cheryl’s favorite scripture is: Romans 8:28 28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
She says it’s her favorite because God has equipped her every step of her walk, and all she has to do is to continue to love Him and He continues to Bless her!
In 2021, Cheryl met Ryan Wright and began talking about Outreach Programs, each one trying to start one, and they decided to join forces and since then Cheryl has become an indespensable part of Soul Impact. Serving as Associate Director, she created the website and Facebook pages, along with helping to get the group in one accord.
